The BendixKing KR 87 (066-1072-00) is a solid-state ADF receiver providing automatic bearing-to-station navigation for certified aircraft. This TSO-C41c compliant unit drives cockpit indicators and supports station audio identification in ADF systems. The receiver interfaces with the KA-44B combined loop/sense antenna and the KI-227 indicator for complete navigation capability.
Installation follows the KR 87 manual and FAA AC 43.13-1B guidance. Commonly found in general aviation and business aircraft equipped with automatic direction finding systems.
