Product Description
The 14402 DS is a nonconductive polymer insulator that electrically isolates aircraft wiring and hardware from structural components. It prevents arcing, chafing, and electrical faults where conductors pass through metal structure or near conductive surfaces. Installed at wire penetrations and cable routing points in aircraft electrical wiring interconnection systems (EWIS).
The insulator maintains required electrical clearance while protecting wires from abrasion damage during vibration and movement. Conforms to MS35489 nonmetallic grommet standards. Install and inspect per aircraft maintenance manual and FAA AC 43.13-1B guidance during routine maintenance and wire system inspections.
