The 1N3320B is a silicon Zener diode in a DO-5 stud-mount package designed for voltage regulation and overvoltage protection. This regulated device clamps transient voltage spikes in aircraft avionics power-conditioning circuits, preventing equipment damage from electrical surges. The threaded stud interface allows direct mounting to circuit boards or chassis with proper heat-sinking.
Installation requires correct polarity orientation and torque per the aircraft maintenance manual and wiring diagram specifications. Conforms to MIL-PRF-19500/358 military standards for aerospace reliability.
