Product Description

The Northstar Mode C serializer (part 2006) converts parallel Gillham altitude data from an altitude encoder into serial format for ATC Mode C transponder systems. This avionics interface component processes altitude information and supplies it to compatible downstream equipment in aircraft equipped with Mode C altitude-reporting transponders. Installation follows the aircraft manufacturer's avionics manual and FAA requirements under 14 CFR 91.215 for altitude-reporting equipment certification.

Typical installations include general aviation and business aircraft requiring Mode C altitude encoding capability.

Please note: Product descriptions are provided for informational purposes. Always refer to your aircraft's Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC) to verify part compatibility and specifications.
