The 2440 is a metal-bodied on-off valve that isolates fluid flow in aircraft fuel systems. This shutoff valve serves as a firewall protection component, stopping fuel supply to the engine when commanded. Installed in fuel supply lines upstream of the engine, it meets 14 CFR 25.1189 fire zone requirements for flammable-fluid isolation.
The valve operates via cockpit control to provide emergency fuel cutoff capability. Installation follows aircraft maintenance manual (AMM) procedures and 14 CFR 23.995 guidelines, with compatibility verification against the aircraft's illustrated parts catalog (IPC).
Please note: Product descriptions are provided for informational purposes. Always refer to your aircraft's Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC) to verify part compatibility and specifications.

Hydraulic component compatibility depends on the aircraft system design. Common aviation hydraulic fluids include MIL-PRF-5606 (mineral-based), MIL-PRF-83282 (synthetic), and Skydrol (phosphate ester). Verify the ON OFF VALVE against your aircraft maintenance manual for fluid compatibility.
Overhauled and repaired hydraulic components are pressure-tested per manufacturer specifications and include 8130-3 documentation. The ON OFF VALVE is available in: As Removed. Contact us for test documentation on your selected condition.
In-stock hydraulic components ship same business day before 3 PM EST. We provide 24/7 AOG support at (904) 998-9101 for urgent hydraulic system needs. RFQ submissions are typically quoted within 24 hours.
