The 249go-204 is an upper directional TCAS antenna for aircraft collision avoidance systems. This antenna provides bearing information to the TCAS processor, enabling threat detection and resolution advisories. Installed on the upper fuselage as part of TCAS II systems, it works in conjunction with a lower antenna to triangulate aircraft position.
The antenna connects via coaxial cable to the TCAS computer and conforms to ARINC 735 and RTCA DO-160 environmental standards. Installation follows aircraft maintenance manual and avionics manufacturer specifications.
