The 3/8ID is fiberglass braided sleeving that protects wire bundles and fluid lines in high-temperature aircraft environments. Manufactured from NEMA TF-2 rated glass fibers conforming to MIL-Y-1140 specifications, this tubing provides thermal insulation and abrasion resistance. The sleeving slides over 3/8-inch nominal ID bundles to shield wiring in engine compartments and hot zones where standard insulation would degrade.
Cut to required length and install per aircraft maintenance manual guidelines and standard wiring practices. Varglas sleeving maintains flexibility for routing around components while protecting critical systems from heat damage.
Please note: Product descriptions are provided for informational purposes. Always refer to your aircraft's Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC) to verify part compatibility and specifications.

Hydraulic component compatibility depends on the aircraft system design. Common aviation hydraulic fluids include MIL-PRF-5606 (mineral-based), MIL-PRF-83282 (synthetic), and Skydrol (phosphate ester). Verify the TUBE, VARGLASS against your aircraft maintenance manual for fluid compatibility.
Overhauled and repaired hydraulic components are pressure-tested per manufacturer specifications and include 8130-3 documentation. The TUBE, VARGLASS is available in: New Surplus. Contact us for test documentation on your selected condition.
In-stock hydraulic components ship same business day before 3 PM EST. We provide 24/7 AOG support at (904) 998-9101 for urgent hydraulic system needs. RFQ submissions are typically quoted within 24 hours.
