The 4000664-7001 is a Bendix DF-2071A Automatic Direction Finder receiver that captures NDB radio signals for aircraft navigation. This avionics component interfaces with loop and sense antennas to determine bearing to nearby non-directional beacons, displaying heading information on ADF indicators or RMI instruments. Operating on 14/28 VDC electrical systems, the receiver connects to a control head or RMI display unit in the flight deck.
