The 55540-5 is a nose landing gear selector valve that routes hydraulic pressure to NLG actuators for extend and retract operations. This valve controls directional flow in the landing gear hydraulic circuit, switching between extend and retract positions based on pilot input. Specified for phosphate-ester hydraulic fluid, the valve is installed in the main landing gear control system on Bombardier Challenger 601 aircraft.
Installation requires verification of IPC compatibility and adherence to aircraft maintenance manual procedures. Replace only with OEM-equivalent components.
Please note: Product descriptions are provided for informational purposes. Always refer to your aircraft's Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC) to verify part compatibility and specifications.

Hydraulic component compatibility depends on the aircraft system design. Common aviation hydraulic fluids include MIL-PRF-5606 (mineral-based), MIL-PRF-83282 (synthetic), and Skydrol (phosphate ester). Verify the VALVE ASSY, NLG SELECTOR against your aircraft maintenance manual for fluid compatibility.
Overhauled and repaired hydraulic components are pressure-tested per manufacturer specifications and include 8130-3 documentation. The VALVE ASSY, NLG SELECTOR is available in: As Removed. Contact us for test documentation on your selected condition.
In-stock hydraulic components ship same business day before 3 PM EST. We provide 24/7 AOG support at (904) 998-9101 for urgent hydraulic system needs. RFQ submissions are typically quoted within 24 hours.
