The a-406 is a xenon flash tube for aircraft strobe anti-collision light assemblies. This high-intensity discharge tube produces bright flashes when triggered by a capacitor-discharge power supply, meeting FAA anticollision lighting requirements. Installed inside wingtip or tail strobe light heads, the tube generates the visible warning pulses that alert other aircraft to your position.
Replace during routine MRO maintenance when output dims or flashing becomes irregular. Installation follows the component maintenance manual for your specific aircraft; verify compatibility with your aircraft's Illustrated Parts Catalog before ordering.
Please note: Product descriptions are provided for informational purposes. Always refer to your aircraft's Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC) to verify part compatibility and specifications.

Hydraulic component compatibility depends on the aircraft system design. Common aviation hydraulic fluids include MIL-PRF-5606 (mineral-based), MIL-PRF-83282 (synthetic), and Skydrol (phosphate ester). Verify the FLASH TUBE against your aircraft maintenance manual for fluid compatibility.
Overhauled and repaired hydraulic components are pressure-tested per manufacturer specifications and include 8130-3 documentation. The FLASH TUBE is available in: Serviceable. Contact us for test documentation on your selected condition.
In-stock hydraulic components ship same business day before 3 PM EST. We provide 24/7 AOG support at (904) 998-9101 for urgent hydraulic system needs. RFQ submissions are typically quoted within 24 hours.
