Product Description
The AN960-1816 is a standard flat washer conforming to AN960 specifications. This steel washer provides a bearing surface beneath bolt and nut heads, distributing clamping loads across airframe structure and preventing fastener heads from pulling through materials. The washer also enables minor grip length adjustment in assembly applications.
Interchangeable with NAS1149 equivalents, it installs directly under the nut or bolt head before torquing per aircraft maintenance manual requirements. Commonly used in structural assemblies, control surfaces, and component mounting throughout general and commercial aircraft.
