Product Description
The ara-812 is an altitude reporting adapter that interfaces pressure-altitude sources to Mode C/S transponders. It converts and distributes serial (RS-232) and Gillham (parallel) altitude codes per ICAO/ATCRBS conventions required by TSO-C88a equipment. This adapter bridges encoders, GPS/ADS-B interfaces, and legacy wiring to supply encoded altitude data to ATC through the transponder.
Installation and configuration follow aircraft maintenance manual and transponder/encoder instructions specific to your avionics system.
