The AS391 is a mechanical airspeed indicator for aircraft pitot-static systems. This flight instrument displays indicated airspeed on a calibrated dial face and connects directly to pitot and static pressure lines on the aircraft. Installed on the primary flight instrument panel, it provides real-time airspeed data essential for safe flight operations.
After installation, perform pitot-static system leak tests and static pressure verification per FAA guidance before returning the aircraft to service. Conforms to SAE AS391 performance standards for airspeed indication accuracy and reliability.
