The b148 is a drain plug designed to seal service ports and enable controlled fluid drainage during aircraft maintenance. Installed at engine oil sump drain points with a crush washer meeting AN900 (MS35769) specifications, it provides a secure closure that prevents leakage during operation. Removal allows technicians to drain oil for scheduled servicing and contamination inspections.
