The cd-11 is a polyethylene threaded cap designed to seal open ports and male threads on aircraft hydraulic and pneumatic fittings. This protective cap prevents contamination and foreign object debris (FOD) during maintenance operations when components are removed from service. Install hand-tight onto the matching thread form and remove before returning the aircraft to service per maintenance manual requirements.
