The EASCU8404/405 is an electronic start control unit that manages starter motor engagement and start-sequence logic in aircraft engine start systems. This module interfaces directly with the starter contactor and ignition-enable circuits, coordinating the timing and sequencing required for controlled engine starts. Installed in the engine start circuit, it receives input from the start switch and delivers output commands to engage the starter motor while preventing ignition until proper conditions are met.
Compatible with general aviation aircraft equipped with electric start systems. Installation and testing should follow standard aircraft electrical practices and your aircraft's maintenance documentation.
Please note: Product descriptions are provided for informational purposes. Always refer to your aircraft's Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC) to verify part compatibility and specifications.

Avionics compatibility depends on your aircraft model and existing installation. The START CONTROL UNIT is available in: As Removed. We recommend checking your aircraft's wiring diagrams and STC documentation, or contact our avionics team for compatibility assistance.
Availability of an FAA 8130-3 tag depends on the part condition. Overhauled and repaired units typically include 8130-3 documentation. As-removed units may include a removal tag with trace history. Contact us for specific documentation on the condition you need.
We can arrange bench testing through our network of FAA-certified repair stations. Call (904) 998-9101 for testing availability and turnaround times, or submit an RFQ with your specific requirements.
