The MS28740-10D is a Military Standard tube-to-hose adapter fitting designed for aircraft hydraulic systems. This brass or steel fitting transitions rigid tubing to flexible hose connections using flared interfaces compatible with AN/MS standards. Installed in hydraulic circuits where rigid lines must connect to flexible hose runs, the adapter maintains system integrity under pressure and vibration.
Installation requires compatible flare components and torque specifications per the aircraft maintenance manual. Note: Many MS28740 sizes are superseded by the MS24587 adapter family.
