The MX2507/AIC is a polyurethane foam cushioning pad designed to absorb shock and vibration in aircraft panel and rack installations. This pad prevents equipment chafing and reduces vibration transmission through avionics racks and enclosures. Manufactured to MIL-P-26514 specifications (NSN 8140-00-715-6162), it provides reliable damping in high-vibration environments.
Install as a spacer under avionics racks, securing per your aircraft maintenance manual. Verify pad dimensions against rack interface specifications before installation, following FAA AC 43.13-1B accepted practices for proper fit and performance.
