The NAS680-A08 is a self-locking, two-lug nut plate that provides a captive threaded anchor point in thin aircraft structures. Manufactured to NAS680 standard specifications, this steel nut plate features prevailing-torque retention to prevent fastener loosening from vibration. The two lugs rivet directly to the parent structure, allowing threaded fastening without access to the backside.
Commonly installed on access panels, inspection covers, and maintenance hatches where conventional nuts cannot be reached. Install by riveting the lugs flush with the structure, then torque the mating screw per aircraft maintenance manual specifications.
