The NAS698-A08 is a self-locking corner nut plate designed for blind-side fastening of aircraft access panels and fairings. This aluminum plate features reduced rivet spacing and low profile construction, allowing installation near panel or structure edges where standard nut plates won't fit. The plate rivets to the substrate and accepts machine screws with captive threads.
Installation follows aircraft structural repair manual (SRM) specifications and standard torque practices. Note: NAS698 is inactive for new designs; MS21073/MS21074 equivalents are preferred for modern applications.
