The r10-tps is an exhaust gas temperature (EGT) indicator that displays engine exhaust temperature on the aircraft instrument panel. It accepts Type K thermocouple input for real-time temperature monitoring during flight operations. Piston-engine aircraft use this indicator to monitor peak EGT during mixture leaning procedures, helping optimize fuel efficiency and engine performance.
The instrument mounts in standard panel cutouts and connects to engine-mounted thermocouples via shielded wiring. FAA TSO/STC-certified versions are available depending on manufacturer specifications. Installation follows the aircraft maintenance manual and instrument-specific wiring diagrams.
