The s12002-183 is a semiconductor diode for aircraft electrical systems, providing one-way current control and transient suppression. Mounted across relay coils in avionics circuits, it protects sensitive equipment from inductive voltage spikes generated during coil de-energization. Install near the coil with correct polarity orientation, wiring per AC 43.13-1B and applicable maintenance manuals.
