The vr5156a is a voltage regulator that controls alternator or generator field current to maintain stable DC bus voltage in aircraft electrical systems. This component protects avionics equipment and battery from overvoltage conditions by regulating output to 14 or 28 volts depending on system configuration. Installed between the alternator/generator, main bus, and battery, it monitors system voltage and adjusts field excitation accordingly.
Installation requires verification of system voltage compatibility and follows aircraft maintenance manual specifications and FAA AC 43.13 practices.
Please note: Product descriptions are provided for informational purposes. Always refer to your aircraft's Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC) to verify part compatibility and specifications.

Hydraulic component compatibility depends on the aircraft system design. Common aviation hydraulic fluids include MIL-PRF-5606 (mineral-based), MIL-PRF-83282 (synthetic), and Skydrol (phosphate ester). Verify the VOLT. REGULATOR against your aircraft maintenance manual for fluid compatibility.
Overhauled and repaired hydraulic components are pressure-tested per manufacturer specifications and include 8130-3 documentation. The VOLT. REGULATOR is available in: As Removed. Contact us for test documentation on your selected condition.
In-stock hydraulic components ship same business day before 3 PM EST. We provide 24/7 AOG support at (904) 998-9101 for urgent hydraulic system needs. RFQ submissions are typically quoted within 24 hours.
