Product Description
The 066-1062-00 is a BendixKing KT-76A Mode A/C ATC transponder transceiver for aircraft secondary surveillance radar identification. This 14-volt, panel-mounted LRU replies to 1030 MHz interrogations on 1090 MHz, transmitting aircraft identification and altitude data to air traffic control. Paired with an encoding altimeter, it enables Mode C altitude reporting required for controlled airspace operations.
Installation and testing must follow the aircraft maintenance manual and 14 CFR 91.413 transponder requirements.
