The 12003 is a volts/phase selector switch for aircraft AC electrical systems. This panel-mounted switch routes a voltmeter to monitor selected phases or bus voltage on three-phase 115/200 V, 400 Hz AC systems per MIL-STD-704. Commonly installed on generator control and power distribution panels, it allows flight crews to verify AC generator output and system health during preflight and in-flight checks.
Installation follows the aircraft maintenance manual and FAA AC 43.13-1B acceptable methods for avionics and electrical system wiring.
