The 12043-0017 is a semiconductor diode that controls current direction in aircraft electrical circuits. It suppresses flyback voltage spikes across relay coils and protects sensitive avionics from reverse polarity conditions. This diode is installed in series with relay windings or across inductive loads per the aircraft wiring diagram.
Aerospace-qualified to MIL-PRF-19500 standards when specified by design authority. Installation follows FAA AC 43.13-1B acceptable methods, with correct polarity orientation critical for proper circuit protection.
Please note: Product descriptions are provided for informational purposes. Always refer to your aircraft's Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC) to verify part compatibility and specifications.
