The 1N4004 is a silicon rectifier diode in a DO-41 axial package rated for 400V reverse voltage and 1A average current. This general-purpose semiconductor provides DC blocking, reverse-polarity protection, and flyback suppression in aircraft electrical circuits. Commonly installed across relay coils to prevent voltage spikes during switching, or in power distribution lines to protect sensitive avionics from polarity reversal.
Install with correct orientation per the aircraft wiring diagram and maintenance manual.
Please note: Product descriptions are provided for informational purposes. Always refer to your aircraft's Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC) to verify part compatibility and specifications.
