Part 266e0305-00 is an acoustic underwater locator beacon for aircraft flight data recorders. This TSO-C121b certified device emits a 37.5 kHz ultrasonic ping to aid recovery teams in locating submerged recorders following water accidents. Installed directly on flight data recorder assemblies, the beacon activates upon water immersion and transmits continuously to enable acoustic detection at depths up to 14,000 feet.
