The 29c is an acceleration-activated inertia switch that detects impact deceleration and triggers safety system circuits. Upon sudden deceleration, the switch changes state to initiate emergency locator transmitter (ELT) activation. Commonly installed in ELT circuits on general aviation aircraft per FAA TSO-C126 standards.
The switch responds to g-force thresholds typical of aircraft impact events, closing or opening circuits to signal emergency transmission. Installation and functional testing must follow the aircraft maintenance manual and AC 43.13-1B wiring practices to ensure proper operation during emergency conditions.
Please note: Product descriptions are provided for informational purposes. Always refer to your aircraft's Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC) to verify part compatibility and specifications.
