The 34-305 is a thermostatic expansion valve for aircraft vapor-cycle air conditioning systems. This valve meters refrigerant flow into the evaporator while regulating superheat to protect the compressor from liquid return. A sensing bulb monitors evaporator outlet temperature and automatically adjusts valve opening to maintain optimal cooling performance.
Installed at the evaporator inlet, the 34-305 controls refrigerant distribution across varying flight conditions and cabin loads. Replacement requires system evacuation and recharging per aircraft maintenance manual procedures. Verify compatibility with your aircraft's Illustrated Parts Catalog before installation.
Please note: Product descriptions are provided for informational purposes. Always refer to your aircraft's Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC) to verify part compatibility and specifications.

Hydraulic component compatibility depends on the aircraft system design. Common aviation hydraulic fluids include MIL-PRF-5606 (mineral-based), MIL-PRF-83282 (synthetic), and Skydrol (phosphate ester). Verify the EXPANSION VALVE against your aircraft maintenance manual for fluid compatibility.
Overhauled and repaired hydraulic components are pressure-tested per manufacturer specifications and include 8130-3 documentation. The EXPANSION VALVE is available in: As Removed. Contact us for test documentation on your selected condition.
In-stock hydraulic components ship same business day before 3 PM EST. We provide 24/7 AOG support at (904) 998-9101 for urgent hydraulic system needs. RFQ submissions are typically quoted within 24 hours.
