The 36742-014 is a down limit switch for retractable landing gear systems. This electrical switch detects when the main landing gear reaches the fully locked-down position and signals the aircraft's electrical system to cut power to the extension drive, preventing gear overrun. Mounted on the landing gear actuator or strut assembly, the switch completes its circuit upon full extension.
Used in retractable gear indication and control circuits across general aviation and corporate aircraft. Installation and rigging must follow the applicable Aircraft Maintenance Manual and Illustrated Parts Catalog specifications for your aircraft.
Please note: Product descriptions are provided for informational purposes. Always refer to your aircraft's Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC) to verify part compatibility and specifications.
