The 455-124 is a spring-loaded core air valve for Schrader-type service ports in aircraft pneumatic systems. This threaded insert retains system pressure while allowing controlled release during tire inflation and servicing operations. Commonly found on Piper PA-28 series aircraft at tire service points and similar pneumatic charging locations.
The valve depressurizes the system when removed, enabling safe maintenance access. Installation requires following aircraft maintenance manual procedures and verifying applicability in the Illustrated Parts Catalog before installation.
Please note: Product descriptions are provided for informational purposes. Always refer to your aircraft's Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC) to verify part compatibility and specifications.

Hydraulic component compatibility depends on the aircraft system design. Common aviation hydraulic fluids include MIL-PRF-5606 (mineral-based), MIL-PRF-83282 (synthetic), and Skydrol (phosphate ester). Verify the CORE AIR VALVE against your aircraft maintenance manual for fluid compatibility.
Overhauled and repaired hydraulic components are pressure-tested per manufacturer specifications and include 8130-3 documentation. The CORE AIR VALVE is available in: New Surplus. Contact us for test documentation on your selected condition.
