The 5188-00-7 is an engine anti-ice valve that meters hot bleed air from the engine to the nacelle inlet. This pneumatic control valve prevents ice accumulation on engine cowlings and inlet surfaces during flight in icing conditions. The valve regulates bleed air temperature and flow to maintain optimal anti-ice protection without engine performance degradation.
