The 60290 is an aircraft vacuum regulator that stabilizes suction pressure for pneumatic instrument systems. This spring-loaded pop-off valve maintains consistent airflow from engine-driven vacuum pumps to gyro-driven attitude and heading indicators. Installed between the pump and instruments in the vacuum line, it vents excess pressure to prevent over-suction and instrument damage.
The regulator adjusts to target suction levels and automatically relieves excess airflow during operation. Installation follows aircraft maintenance manual specifications and should be verified against the Illustrated Parts Catalog for your aircraft model.
