The 622-1879-002 is a Collins VHF-20A aircraft communications transceiver for remote-mounted installation in aircraft VHF systems. Operating from 117.000 to 135.975 MHz with 25 kHz channel spacing, it provides AM voice coverage for pilot-to-air traffic control communications. This -002 variant features ±15 kHz IF selectivity and meets FAA TSO-C37b/C38b certification standards.

The transceiver interfaces with CTL-20 or 313N-5/A control heads mounted in the flight deck. Installation and testing follow applicable avionics maintenance manuals and aircraft-specific documentation.
