The 622-8973-001 is a Collins TRE-920 TCAS II directional antenna for traffic collision avoidance systems. This passive unit generates both vertical and omnidirectional RF patterns to detect aircraft proximity. The flat-base antenna mounts on aircraft fuselage top and bottom surfaces, requiring four RF cable connections to TTR-920/921 processors.
