The 7040 is a vertical speed indicator (VSI) that measures and displays aircraft climb and descent rates on the cockpit panel. This United Instruments model connects to the aircraft static system via a 1/8-27 ANPT static port and is housed in a standard 3-inch MS33549 case. TSO-C8b compliant, the instrument provides real-time rate-of-climb data essential for instrument flight operations.
After installation or static-system maintenance, perform IFR pitot-static checks per 14 CFR 91.411 to ensure accuracy and airworthiness.
Please note: Product descriptions are provided for informational purposes. Always refer to your aircraft's Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC) to verify part compatibility and specifications.
