Product Description
The 8210-161 is an overspeed governor for Pratt & Whitney PW100-series turboprop engines. This hydro-mechanical unit regulates engine oil flow to the propeller control system, preventing propeller RPM from exceeding safe limits during flight. Mounted on the engine accessory section, it maintains constant-speed operation by metering hydraulic pressure based on actual versus commanded RPM.
