Product Description
The 86160 is a screw-in EGT (exhaust gas temperature) probe manufactured by Alcor for reciprocating-engine aircraft. This sensor uses a Type K thermocouple with a grounded junction to monitor exhaust gas temperature in real-time. The probe features a 7/16-20 UNF threaded mount that screws directly into exhaust bosses on Continental engines and compatible powerplants.
Alcor's reverse-stagger lead configuration minimizes electromagnetic interference in the cockpit environment. FAA PMA/STC approval certifies this probe for installation on certificated aircraft. Installation follows the applicable aircraft maintenance manual and Alcor technical documentation.
