The 8642 is a momentary pushbutton switch designed for aircraft cockpit and cabin panel installations. This panel-mounted switch provides tactile control for lighting circuits and other momentary-duty applications. The switch features a threaded bushing for secure panel mounting and is constructed to withstand aviation environmental conditions including vibration and temperature cycling.
Installation requires routing wire per the aircraft wiring diagram and applying torque per maintenance manual specifications. Commonly built to MIL-PRF-8805 standards for reliability and environmental sealing in pressurized and unpressurized aircraft.
