The 91B/ARN-6 is a radio compass indicator for the AN/ARN-6 ADF navigation system. This cockpit-mounted pointer instrument displays relative bearing information to selected NDB (non-directional beacon) stations, enabling pilots to navigate toward ground-based radio transmitters. The indicator connects to the AN/ARN-6 ADF receiver via system harness and presents bearing data on a rotating card face with compass rose markings.
Installation requires panel mounting per applicable aircraft maintenance documentation. Commonly found in military and vintage general aviation aircraft equipped with ADF navigation capability.
