The a-255-2 is a shuttle valve for aircraft hydraulic and pneumatic systems. This component automatically directs the higher-pressure inlet to a common outlet, ensuring continuity between normal and standby pressure sources in critical control paths. Commonly installed in brake systems to select between normal and emergency/parking pressure sources.
The valve operates without external power, responding to pressure differential to maintain system redundancy. Install in-line with compatible fittings and verify proper operation and leakage per aircraft maintenance manual specifications.

Hydraulic component compatibility depends on the aircraft system design. Common aviation hydraulic fluids include MIL-PRF-5606 (mineral-based), MIL-PRF-83282 (synthetic), and Skydrol (phosphate ester). Verify the VALVE, SHUTTLE against your aircraft maintenance manual for fluid compatibility.
Overhauled and repaired hydraulic components are pressure-tested per manufacturer specifications and include 8130-3 documentation. The VALVE, SHUTTLE is available in: As Removed, New Surplus. Contact us for test documentation on your selected condition.
In-stock hydraulic components ship same business day before 3 PM EST. We provide 24/7 AOG support at (904) 998-9101 for urgent hydraulic system needs. RFQ submissions are typically quoted within 24 hours.
