Product Description
The AN310C5 is a castellated hexagon nut conforming to Aeronautical Standard AN310. This steel nut features a slotted crown design that aligns with drilled bolt holes for cotter pin insertion, providing positive mechanical locking on aircraft fasteners. Installed by torquing the nut onto a drilled-shank bolt, then rotating to align a slot with the hole and inserting a cotter pin through both.
Used throughout airframe assemblies where vibration-resistant fastening is required. Installation follows FAA AC 43.13-1B guidance and applicable aircraft maintenance manuals.
