The AN310C6 is a stainless steel castellated hex nut with 3/8-24 threads designed for drilled-shank bolts in aircraft assemblies. The castellated (slotted) design allows a cotter pin to pass through aligned holes in the bolt and nut, providing positive mechanical locking that prevents loosening from vibration.
