The BA/78 is a gascolator filter for aircraft fuel systems, installed at the lowest point of the fuel line to trap water and particulates before reaching the carburetor or fuel metering unit. This primary strainer meets FAA fuel system requirements and is commonly mounted on the firewall upstream of the engine. Routine maintenance includes periodic sumping to drain accumulated contaminants and element inspection per your aircraft maintenance manual.
The filter protects critical engine fuel components from debris and moisture contamination.

Hydraulic component compatibility depends on the aircraft system design. Common aviation hydraulic fluids include MIL-PRF-5606 (mineral-based), MIL-PRF-83282 (synthetic), and Skydrol (phosphate ester). Verify the GASCOLATOR FILTER against your aircraft maintenance manual for fluid compatibility.
Overhauled and repaired hydraulic components are pressure-tested per manufacturer specifications and include 8130-3 documentation. The GASCOLATOR FILTER is available in: As Removed. Contact us for test documentation on your selected condition.
In-stock hydraulic components ship same business day before 3 PM EST. We provide 24/7 AOG support at (904) 998-9101 for urgent hydraulic system needs. RFQ submissions are typically quoted within 24 hours.
