The C406-N is an Artex 406 MHz Emergency Locator Transmitter (ELT) that broadcasts distress signals on 406, 121.5, and 243.0 MHz frequencies. This fixed ELT accepts aircraft navigation data to encode position information and alerts COSPAS-SARSAT rescue coordination centers. FAA TSO-C126 and ETSO-2C126 approved for type AF installations.

Installation and testing must follow the Artex C406-N manual and applicable FAA regulations.
