The ca3559 is an engine induction air filter element designed to trap intake contaminants and protect piston aircraft engines from particulate damage. This pleated filter media element removes dust, sand, and debris from incoming air before it reaches the engine cylinders. Cross-referenced to FAA-PMA equivalents Donaldson P198281 and Tempest AA198281, it's commonly used in Cessna 172R/S engine intake systems.
Installation requires verification through your aircraft's Illustrated Parts Catalog and adherence to the applicable maintenance manual or FAA-approved data for the specific PMA filter model.
Please note: Product descriptions are provided for informational purposes. Always refer to your aircraft's Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC) to verify part compatibility and specifications.

Hydraulic component compatibility depends on the aircraft system design. Common aviation hydraulic fluids include MIL-PRF-5606 (mineral-based), MIL-PRF-83282 (synthetic), and Skydrol (phosphate ester). Verify the FILTER AIR against your aircraft maintenance manual for fluid compatibility.
Overhauled and repaired hydraulic components are pressure-tested per manufacturer specifications and include 8130-3 documentation. The FILTER AIR is available in: New Surplus. Contact us for test documentation on your selected condition.
