The CA57160-1 is a passive LC noise filter that attenuates conducted EMI/RFI on aircraft avionics power feeds. This inline filter suppresses electromagnetic interference from alternators, switching power supplies, and radio transmitters that can degrade communication radio performance. Install the filter near the radio load on the power supply line, bonding the case to aircraft structure per wiring diagrams.
The filter handles typical avionics voltage and current ratings. Follow FAA AC 43.13-1B practices for installation, lead routing, and verification of filter specifications before powering avionics systems.
