The CI 291 is a VHF communications antenna designed for aircraft COM radios on single-engine piston aircraft. This whip radiator antenna mounts on the fuselage top using a three-hole base pattern and connects via BNC connector to the radio system. Qualified to FAA TSO-C37d/C38d standards and tested to RTCA DO-160D environmental requirements, it transmits and receives VHF frequencies for pilot-to-ground communications.
Installation requires secure fastening through the three-hole mounting pattern per aircraft maintenance manual specifications.
