The do-138 altitude digitizer converts barometric pressure signals from the aircraft static system into encoded altitude data for Mode C/S transponders. This unit outputs parallel Gray code (Gillham) or serial format data with FAA TSO-C88a approval. Installed between the static port and transponder, it enables accurate pressure altitude reporting required for air traffic control surveillance.
Installation and testing must follow the transponder's STC/TSO documentation and your aircraft's maintenance manual for proper system integration.
Please note: Product descriptions are provided for informational purposes. Always refer to your aircraft's Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC) to verify part compatibility and specifications.
